Receipts

What is a Miscellaneous Receipt?

  • Anything a county receipts outside of a property tax payment. They allow the user to specify which account should be hit when the receipt is finished.

  • In Misc. Receipt you have to choose what account/s the funds will be allocated too.

  • Fayetteville is the only place to use violations. An example of this would be a police department that writes tickets and fills in a citation report.

How do you Create Miscellaneous Receipt?

  • Accounting → Journal Entry → Misc. Receipts

  • Once you get to this page you can access the account code by starting to type what you are searching and a list of default/pre-filled options will appear for you to select.

  • On the right side of the Misc. Receipt screen you will see a big red box around the whole thing. The goal is to have it turn green.

  • Why is it red? It is red because you have not filled in all the 3 red bullet points at the bottom left of the screen. (See picture below)

  • Once you fill in the 3 red bullets the box will turn green and look like this. (See picture below)

  • After you see the green box, you can then click the process button at the bottom left of the screen.

What is Property Tax Receipt?

  • Money receipted on property tax bills. These are entered on the “enter quick receipts” screen. These allocate the funds based on the receipt codes based on the tax year.

  • Property Tax receipts automatically choose the account/s that funds will be allocated too.
